Micah Catherine Marguerita Creaghan, 39, of Petaluma, California, died unexpectedly Saturday, June 15, 2002 while visiting at the home of her mother in Port St. Lucie, Florida.
Micah was born April 7, 1963 in Moncton, New Brunswick. She was a graduate of the University of Central Florida in Orlando and received her Master’s Degree from University of California, Berkeley. While living and working in Ireland, she went to Romania where she helped at an orphanage for the handicapped. She moved to California where she worked as a social worker for Sonoma County.
Survivors include her mother and step-father, Madeleine C. Laplante and Stephen Melvin of Port St. Lucie, Florida, a brother, Sean Creaghan (Deborah Backman) of Montreal, a sister, Charlotte Creaghan (Robert Happy) of Petaluma, California, and three nephews, Nicholas, Alexander and Lucas.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2002 at 2:00 pm at Collins Clarke Chapel, 5610 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal. An inurnment service will be held on Friday, June 28, 2002 at 3:00 pm at Burnt Church Cemetery in New Brunswick.
