Beloved and adored husband of Megan and the deceased Louise Sawyer. Loved father of Ellen Redelfs (Robert) and Clare McManus (Michael Griffin ), and the deceased John McManus IV. Grandfather to Jean-Paul Griffin, Peter Collins and Stephen Collins.
A private memorial service was held at Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges. Interred at Notre-Dames-des-Neiges Cemetery (Sawyer, Joseph Henri).

This 15-minute tribute to John was made by his daughter Ellen Redelfs in St. Louis, Missouri and played at a remembrance ceremony in Montreal on April 17, 2008. (Ellen was unable to attend the ceremony because of illness.)
