He was born Nov. 3, 1916, in Leominster, Mass., and came to Venice 19 years ago from Weston, Conn.
He retired in 1974 as design manager with Chesebrough Ponds. He earned a bachelor of fine arts degree from Massachusetts College of Art in Boston. He was a photographer with the Ninth Air Force in Europe during World War II. He was a member of the Venice Art League.
Survivors include his wife, Clare; a daughter, Yvonne House of Boynton Beach; two sons, Mark of Greenacres and Edward of Burlington, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Victoria Rock of San Francisco; a stepson, Anthony Rock of New York; a brother, Edgar of Cape Cod, Mass.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 at Our Lady of Lourdes Church. National Cremation Society, Venice Chapter, is in charge. Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, 2975 Bee Ridge Road, Suite B, Sarasota, FL 34239; or to a favourite charity.
