Miss D.E. Rosemary Hazen of 71 Hazen Avenue, Renforth, died Monday at St. Joseph’s Hospital after a period of failing health.
Born in London, England, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Mollie (Creaghan) Hazen and had been a resident of Saint John the greater part of her life.
Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a lab technician at the Saint John General Hospital.
She was predeceased by one brother, Dr. Frank Hazen. She is survived by one brother, John of Chelsea, Quebec; one sister, (Priscilla) Mrs. John Prichard of Willowdale, Ont.; several nieces and nephews.
The body is resting at Brenan’s Funeral Home, 111 Paradise Row from where the funeral will be held Thursday at 10:45 a.m. to St. Ann’s Church for Mass of the Resurrection to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place in Fernhill Cemetery. Visiting at the funeral home is from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday.
