Mrs. T. Cyril Creaghan

The death of a former resident of Newcastle, Mrs. T. Cyril Creaghan, occurred at her apartment in Westmount, Montreal on February 9 after a long illness.

Mrs. Creaghan was the former Yvonne Buckley, the youngest daughter of the late David J. Buckley, a prominent Miramichi lumberman, and his wife Mary Wellwood. She was born in Rogersville and lived in Newcastle for some years before and after her marriage. She has been residing in Montreal for many years.

Surviving are her husband, a son and a daughter, David and Ann, both living in Montreal, also a sister and brother (Rita) Mrs. Donald S. Creaghan and Lee W. Buckley of Newcastle.

The funeral was held at 11 o’clock Saturday morning with Requiem Mass at the Church of the Ascension of the Lord, Westmount, Montreal. Interment was in Côte-des-Neiges Cemetery, Montreal.
