Elinor Beck Dysart (1937–2017) |
Elinor Beck Dysart (née Davis) passed away on November 16, 2017 at the age of 80 following a brief illness. Born in Saint John, New Brunswick, she was the daughter of John and Margaret Davis.
Elinor is survived by her husband, Hon. Paul S. Creaghan, and by her children Dr. Allison Dysart (Lise Surette) of Sackville; Beck Dysart (Greg Cowper) of Ottawa; Missy Pelletier (Marc) of Needham, Massachusetts; Robert Dysart (Patty) of Moncton; and Margaret MacPherson (Andrew) of Moncton; as well as by her 13 grandchildren, Annie, Molly and Miriam Dysart; Elinor, Stuart and Elizabeth Cowper; Will, Robert, Matthew and Ben Pelletier; Andrew and Dara Dysart; and Dysart MacPherson. Elinor is also survived by her sisters–in–law, Pauline Davis and Maureen Davis, by her brother–in–law John Richard, and by many cherished nieces and nephews.
Elinor was predeceased by her first husband, Dr. Robert M. Dysart, by her granddaughter, Kate Dysart, and by her siblings, Jack, Thomas and Darrell Davis, Nancy Humphrey and Faith Richard.

Visitation will be held at Frenette Funeral and Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street in Moncton (858–1900), on Monday, November 20th from 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Bernard’s Church, 43 Botsford Street in Moncton, on Tuesday, November 21st at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Elinor’s memory to the Moncton Hospital, the Georges–L.–Dumont Hospital or the IWK Hospital.
