Davida Creaghan (Cunningham), passed away peacefully at Shannex Saint John on April 17, 2020. Born in Moncton, NB, she was the eldest child of Frank Leo and Catherine (Major) Cunningham.

Davida lived an active life of family, curling, bridge and parish life in St. Bernard’s Church in Moncton, NB., Assumption Parish in Saint John and as chair of the parish council and a member of the CWL at St. Mary’s Church in Miramichi. She enjoyed many years of summer cottage life in Pointe-du-Chêne. She was also an active member of the Newcastle Curling Club and the Miramichi Golf Club.

As her children grew up, Davida began a career in real estate sales and had many successful years with Royal Trust and Central Trust. She was an executive member of the Northern NB Real Estate Association and the New Brunswick Real Estate Council. This career led to service with Retirement Miramichi, where she was the executive secretary.

Davida loved her wide circle of family and friends. She enjoyed dinner parties and dancing at the RCAF Officer’s Mess at CFB Chatham. She loved travelling to Florida with her children and escape weekends with her husband and other family members.

Davida will be missed by her children Tara Morrison (Bernie) of Saint John and Christopher (Ruth) Creaghan of Quispamsis; daughter-in-law Debbie Creaghan of Riverview; her brother, George Cunningham (Doris) of Moncton; her sister, Mary Cunningham also of Moncton; six grandchildren, Erica, Elizabeth, Kelly, Adam, Marcus and Andrew and two great grandchildren, Rowan and Jake; also by a wide circle of dear friends in Miramichi and Moncton.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Marven, her son Timothy “Tim” Creaghan and by her brother Paul Cunningham.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Davida’s memory made to a charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by her family.
